How to download a photo from Instagram quickly and reliably?

instagram followers

Instagram has no built-in option for downloading other people's photos, but you can still save them to your gallery! Just a few clicks are enough to get a photo onto your phone or computer. How do you download a photo from Instagram quickly and easily, using a dedicated app or website?

Downloading photos from Instagram: your own profile

Instagram lets you download photos to your phone or computer, but only photos from your own profile. If you want the photos you post on Instagram to be saved to your gallery, you do not need any extra apps or websites. Just go to your profile and tap the three-line icon in the top right corner. Go to Settings, Account, then Original photos. This is where you can turn on saving of the photos you post. Every photo or video you add to your profile will then be saved to your gallery automatically.

Downloading photos from Instagram: other users' posts

Saving someone else's photo to your phone or computer is not as simple as downloading photos from your own posts. Unfortunately, Instagram still does not offer a quick way to save photos posted by other users. There are, however, mobile apps made for exactly this purpose, such as InstaSaver, Downloader for Instagram or InstaSave, available on both Android and iOS. These apps let you download not only photos but also videos and stories.

How to save Instagram photos using a website?

Besides apps for downloading Instagram photos, there are also dedicated websites that let you save photos from other people's posts in a few simple steps. These include igdownloader.com, inflact.com and sssinstagram.com. To save a particular photo to your smartphone or computer, tap the three dots next to it and choose "Copy link". Next, open one of these websites and paste the copied link into the box. That's it! After a moment the photo is saved to your gallery! As with the apps, a website for downloading Instagram photos also lets you download videos (such as Instagram reels) and other posted content.

8 simple steps to the perfect Instagram selfie (without filters)

With these few tips you will take the perfect photo that draws lots of followers to your profile.

1. Find the perfect angle for your face.

Every face is different, but almost any selfie turns out much better if you push your chin slightly forward and tilt your head a little. Your face will look much better in the photo, whatever its shape. Look at photos of Instagram stars: they all pose with their heads slightly tilted.

2. Natural light is your best friend.

Whether or not you wear make-up, photos taken in natural daylight look much better than ones taken under artificial light or with a flash. Artificial light highlights every flaw and simply makes a face look worse. The best light is indirect daylight: stand a little away from the window rather than right in front of it. See the difference for yourself.

3. Take photos in the morning.

In the morning your face is fresh and your make-up has just been applied. Your hair is freshly washed and styled. It is the ideal time for photos: you will look radiant and fresh. Reach for your phone then, and you will be happy with the results.

4. Mind your facial expression.

Raise your eyebrows slightly; if you have full lips, part them gently (but not in a vulgar way); if they are small, try to make them look bigger with the right pose. Remember to smile a little, but never make a duck face!

5. Raise your arm.

Hold the phone as high as your arm allows. This angle makes you look slimmer, and the photo softer and more natural. Notice how much smoother and more flattering a face looks from this angle.

6. Mind the background.

Take care of the background, whether you are photographing your whole figure or just your face. Nothing is worse than a photo of a beautiful girl with a mess behind her.

7. If you use filters, try to stick to one.

If you find a filter that really flatters you, try to use it on every photo. It keeps your profile consistent. The biggest Instagram stars use this trick.

8. Put on glasses.

If you do not feel confident in front of the lens, or want a photo without make-up, put on glasses. Sunglasses, prescription glasses or plain frames will all make you look good. You no longer need to take 400 photos to pick one: with glasses, the photo always turns out well.

How much can you earn on Instagram?

The Instagram market is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and its value keeps growing. Accounts with tens of thousands of followers seem to have an easy way to earn serious money there. After all, how hard can it be to take a few good photos?

Celebrities promoting products or services is nothing new, but with Instagram anyone can become such a celebrity, without television, talent shows or a YouTube channel.

"Instagram stars", sometimes called Instagram models, easily land partnerships with brands that want to keep growing their customer base. That is how a watch brand ends up in the background of Jessica Mercedes's photo, and Kylie Jenner happens to drink that particular tea for breakfast. The very best on Instagram can charge up to half a million dollars per photo! Even for someone with fewer than 100,000 followers, rates are very high: from a thousand to tens of thousands of złoty per photo.

It is a very convenient way for students to earn money, and a good income for mums running a parenting blog, travellers photographing the world, or athletes who keep motivating others to reach their goals.

Promoting a business on Instagram

Instagram can be a great tool for gaining more potential customers.

All you need to do is create a business account there, which can also be linked to Facebook. In the settings you can also switch a personal account to a business one.

Instagram is built on images, so the core of your promotion here is photos, which above all should look good, match your business profile and appeal to your customers. Another important element is posting regularly on Instagram: even if your photos are exceptionally good, publishing them once every two weeks will not do much to bring traffic to your profile.

Consistency and patience are the foundation of running such an account. It is also a good platform for exchanging short thoughts with customers: you can ask interesting questions that get your followers engaged. And every follower can be a potential buyer of your products. If you want to put a link to your website in your bio, remember to shorten it, as short links look better and get more clicks than long strings of text. A business account on Instagram should ideally have a consistent visual style: perhaps the same filter, the same framing or a recurring graphic element that becomes part of your brand's visual identity and appears in every photo.

Your Instagram profile should also be stylistically consistent.

Do hashtags on Instagram matter?

Do hashtags on Instagram matter?

Hashtags on Instagram absolutely matter for getting likes and followers, but only when used correctly. Hashtags have become a powerful tool for boosting your followers' engagement and gaining new followers on Instagram. Yet many people do not use them well, adding too many and choosing them badly. Follow the tips below on Instagram hashtags to get the most engagement on your profile.

1. Place your Instagram hashtags correctly.

Where is the best place for hashtags on Instagram? Some influencers add hashtags to the caption, others prefer to put them all in the first comment. So which method is best? Socialinsider analysed 649,895 Instagram posts from over 6,700 business profiles of different sizes to find out which placement drives the most engagement. Interestingly, account size changed the answer. Putting hashtags in the comments works mainly for large profiles with over 100,000 followers. If your account has fewer followers, put them in the caption.

2. Do not use too many or too few hashtags.

According to the scheduling tool Later, one hashtag means on average a 12.6% increase in engagement. By that logic, the more hashtags the better. Intuition fails here, though: too many hashtags make a photo less visible. Nobody knows exactly why many hashtags reduce reach. Most likely Instagram's algorithms treat such a photo as spam. Most users get the best results with 5-8 hashtags per photo.

3. Create hashtags that set you apart.

Combine your own distinctive hashtags with widely used ones to increase reach. For example, if you run a food profile and launch a series of healthy desserts, using "#dessert" will not raise awareness of the new series or help organise your content. Your post would probably get lost among 813,000 posts using that hashtag. If instead you use "#katesdesserts", you can group all content tagged around that campaign and make it easy for your audience to find.

4. Choose the right hashtags for each post.

A post should contain a set of standard hashtags that describe your typical content and the specific product you are showing. Beyond that, you should use hashtags tailored to the individual post:

  • Industry: add hashtags for the industry your post is about. Check the best-matching Instagram hashtags for each category.
  • Brand: add hashtags for the brands shown in the photo.
  • Trends: use industry trends and popular, current hashtags. Check which are the most popular Instagram hashtags.
  • Location: tag the locations where you run campaigns to reach local users.

Track your progress by the number of impressions each set of Instagram hashtags has brought to your posts.

To do this, tap "View insights" on the post, then swipe up to see the number of impressions from hashtags.
